The
Azuni creations all began over 10 years ago when Ashley Sinclair
Marshall gave up his career as a top chef in the Dorchester and the
Caprice to take up jewellery design.
He
travelled to South America in pursuit of fulfilment and inspiration,
where he discovered a jewellery workshop with skilled Mayan craftsmen.
He
was enchanted by the ancient creative techniques and pioneering
beadwork. Ashley began an Alliance with the workshop and so the Azuni
workshop was born.
In
1995 the Azuni Costume Collection was launched at Pret a Porter in
Paris using a combo of vibrant tribal design with a contemporary edge
. Azuni evolved and in the following spring the first unique Azuni Silver Collection was launched.
Ashley
mixed handmade silver beads, chunky silver charms, animal and floral
stamped charms, leather cord and all things contemporary.
Azuni designs continue to draw inspiration from all over the world, the collections change seasonally and are
made in limited numbers.
